I played hours of Donkey Kong on a Nintendo 64. That was fun! I wasn't that good but it was relaxing after a busy day at school.

    Which videogame(s) did you play?

Rapper Never Yet Contested used Retro videogame samples to make a music video, watch it here!

Toy Story 2 : Buzz Lightyear to the Rescue on the PS1, it was a great game, but a little challenging at a young age really

Each and every Konami game for the MSX meant pure addiction :)

I'll go even more way back, on the old arcade stand ups I used to love playing Donkey Kong, Tempest, Galaga, Asteroids, Pac Man, Missile Command, Tron, Space Invaders, Wizard of Wor, Dragons Lair and many more.

These are just ones that I remember at the moment :D

You just knew I'd go back aways hey. :p

My first gaming experience was on an Atari ( does anyone remember those? ) playing really tricky stuff like Pong.
Then I "upgraded" to my first real computer, a Commodore 64, and this opened up the new world of graphics with games like Frogger.
I even went for the extra 1 Mb of memory  , I already knew I was destined to be hooked on gaming. :D

I loved one game where you swung through the jungle and had to avoid crocodiles etc, but can't remember the name of it right now. Maybe later.

This specific game I must have played for a million hours on the MSX. Athletic Land from 1984 :)

Good ol' Google (when your memory fails).

That game was Pitfall, a classic in it's time, bet I'm one of the only one's here to have played it. :)

    @Warren

    I've played this!!

But I never liked the graphics of the commodore 64 as I was from the MSX side.

Commodore 64 and Amiga vs MSX => If we'd had internet fora in those days the battle of the consoles would be born there haha.

Red Alert, Final Fantasy VIII & Gran Tursimo on the Ps1 were the most memorable for me.

    (Great thread this!)

I grew up with a SNES, on which I played Donkey Kong Country 2 and Super Mario All Stars the most (especially Super Mario Bros. 3). Mortal Kombat was pretty epic too. Star Trek Starfleet Academy. And I loved Jurassic Park, despite it not being a classic or anything. I mean, come on, you could stand on the back of a speeding Jeep shooting lead at a giant T-Rex...

And a Gameboy, so Tetris, Pokemon Yellow (hated the TV series, loved the games), Conkers Pocket Tales, Yoda Stories, Super Mario Tennis. Wario Land. Golden Sun.

And on PC I spent countless hours with FIFA 98, Star Wars Dark Forces, Red Baron, and TOCA 2. Tony Hawks 2. Ah... memories.

There are tons more, but my memory fails me.

When I was a young one seaside arcades was my treat, not until the mid 1990's when my boys were living their childhood on the PS1. I was never any good with most of the games but had the handle on GT, so that's were all started :)

btw , 20 years on still not that good :D
