We are creating an online Jukebox. Which song would you like to put in our "Oldskooldepartment Jukebox" and why?

I will start by putting in The Troggs - Wild Thing

When I was a whole lot younger I was a regular visitor of a bar/café here in Holland and they had an awesome jukebox! This was the song I always selected. Loved the sound! A whole lot of my quarters went down in that thing!

Not a huge fan of Dusty........but this one gets my toes a tapping and my fingers a strumming every single time.

    Simply awesome tune!!

Seeing that it is a Jukebox.....can I add another?

This one is for two reasons. The first being that, Debbie Harry has got to be the sexiest woman ever created......just my opinion. Not so much for just looks....but the whole package, there was just something about her in her day. Wife actually agrees with me on this one.

Secondly Wife sung this at a Karaoke night in a Bar in Estepona Spain, whilst we were there visiting family in 1994. I swear if you closed your eyes it was a certain Miss Harry singing it herself. It was an awesome night....one that will stay with me for ever.......she had the bar rocking!!

I don't think you are going back far enough, I thought the Jukebox era was more of a 60's (maybe also 70's) thing, but to keep within the 80's theme running here, one of my favourites.
I find this song quite inspirational.

The Troggs are from the sixties @Warren ! :) And so is this one. I think the sixties are a decade with a lot of very VERY good songs!

Need to add some Otis Redding to the jukebox.

And this gem. Ever after I watched the last episode of Sopranos I get the strangest reaction to this song and it wont stop. The hairs on my back stands up, my heart start pounding and I find myself quickly looking at either the radio or for the door!

Awesome @Knut Omdal Tveito ! I had a tape with Otis Redding songs when I was younger. Man, I played that tape hundreds of times. My parents went nuts :D

I guess this is one of the most definitive Jukebox songs of all time, but maybe many are not be aware of the history of the song, or how many people sang it.
This gives you a little insight. I guess most of us know the version by the Righteous Brothers, but I found this background interesting.
I'll bet Petra likes it since it also has strong connections to Patrick Swayze. ;)

Well well Petra, we have something else in common, I think I have almost every Neil Diamond record released (yep, actual records  ).
Just for us, I'll add my favourite to the Jukebox:
